Hi everybody,

A year ago, Siva Raj and his partner, Autumn Looijen, put their careers on hold to work, unpaid, as co-leads of the SF School Board Recall campaign.

Recalls are complex and controversial. In this conversation, we discuss why Siva (and many others in San Francisco) believe recalling three school board members is worth it.

We talk about the reasons for the recall, progress so far, and how issues in the school system ripple across San Francisco, from budgeting to civic pride and the ability of local companies to recruit top talent.
